What is Physical Design & Verification?

Physical design is the process of creating the layout of the IC, and VLSI verification is the process of checking that the IC functions correctly. The VLSI physical design process involves placing and routing transistors, interconnects, and other components on the substrate to create a functional IC. The goal of this process is to create a layout that is compact, efficient, and meets all performance, power, and reliability requirements. The VLSI verification process, on the other hand, is focused on checking the functionality and performance of the IC design.
